How to Make Rescue Media

• Go to the windows "start," and "all programs," then "Thinkvantage."



• Find "Create Recovery Media" and click on it.

Two options:

• Creating Rescue Media with CD's: This allows you to boot from CD into a recovery program, which allows you to restore files if you are unable to boot into windows.
• Choose CD/DVD



• Click "OK"
• Click "OK"



• Select the CD/DVD Drive

• Creating Rescue Media with an External Hard Drive: This allows you to boot from an external hard drive into a recovery program, which allows you to restore files if you are unable to boot into windows.
  • Choose "USB hard disk drive"
  • Make sure "Do not destroy existing data" is checked! (if unchecked it could destroy data already on the hard drive!)

  

  • Click "OK"
