How to Check if Your iFolder is Synchronizing

  1. Begin by Right Clicking the iFolder icon in the System Tray, (you can see any Hidden Icons by clicking the Little Arrow to the left of the icons).

  2. *Note: Icon may be red depending on your version of iFolder.

  3. You should see the following options. Left Click iFolders.

  4. Note your iFolders and their synchronization status in this window
    1. This iFolder is not Synchronizing – Continue to Step 4 to resolve conflict
    2. Notice the Last Synchronized Date – Your iFolder is Synchronizing correctly

    *Note: possible conflicts are Unable to Communicate with Server (), File Naming Conflict ( - see Step 7), Waiting to Synchronize (), and Some Files Can't Synchronize ()

  5. Left Click Edit from the Menu Bar and Left Click Account Settings
  6. Under the Accounts tab
    1. Make sure that the Online box is Checked
    2. Click OK

  7. Done.
  8. If a Pop-up window appears saying, "This iFolder Contains Conflicts," or if after following Steps 1) and 2) your iFolder window looks like this (see picture below), continue to Step 8
  9. Right Click the iFolder that has the conflict and Left Click on Resolve Conflicts
  10. A Resolve Conflicts window will pop-up
    1. Left Click on the name of the iFolder File
    2. Enter a new name for the file and click Rename button (leave the Suffix .docx alone)
    3. Click the Close button

  11. Done.
