If you have other email accounts and would like to see all your email in one location you can 'pop' or use 'imap' to import those accounts into the GroupWise client on your computer. Note: Email popped into GroupWise will not count toward your 30MB size limit. Also, you must first install and configure the GroupWise client, then follow these steps to import other email accounts:

  1. First open Groupwise then click on 'Accounts' then on 'Account Options' when the 'Accounts' window pops up click on 'Add'.

  2. When the 'Create Account' window pops up give the account a name (i.e. My Gmail), and select the type of account (i.e POP3 or IMAP), then click 'Next'.

  3. When the 'Create Internet Account' window pops up enter in the email settings for the specific account. You will have to get these settings from your email provider. See screen shot below of howthese setting may look:

  4. On the next screen choose 'Connect to my LAN', the next screen will prompt you to create a new mailbox for you account, if you want everything lumped into one inbox then don't create a new mailbox otherwise create a new mailbox for the account. Then click 'Finish'.

  5. You should now be back to the 'Accounts' window with your new account added, see screen shot below:

  6. Finally click on 'Properties' and fill in any additional information, including outgoing mail server, port numbers, and SSL settings. If you have any questions about this information please call the helpdesk at 422-3884.
