Law and Religion Symposium Brings Experts from Around the World

The International Center for Law and Religion Studies at Brigham Young University will hold its sixteenth annual law and religion symposium, "Connecting Communities of Discourse: How the Judiciary, Academia, Government, and International Institutions Further the Work of Religious Freedom," (

The symposium will be held at Brigham Young University October 4 – 7, 2008. A keynote address will be given Sunday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Moot Court Room at J Reuben Clark Building.
Each year since 1994, the Center has hosted a symposium on the topic of law and religion. bringing in leading experts from nearly 100 countries to meet and discuss these principles and how they can be better implemented around the world.
The International Center for Law and Religion Studies is a focal point for scholarly activity on church-state issues. In addition to the numerous articles and treatises written and edited by its directors, the Center has accumulated an array of specialized resources that it makes available to visiting scholars and students.
