Native American Law Students' Association

Purpose and Objectives

The NALSA is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Providing an organization for Native American, Polynesian, and all indigenous law students which will promote unity and cooperation among these students, and will provide a basis for which work can be done for the advancement of all indigenous peoples.
  • Providing better communication among Native American law students and the Indian people, Indian lawyers, and the general public.
  • Providing assistance to Native American, Polynesian, and all indigenous law students, including, but not limited to:
    • Financial assistance during the academic year and summer by direct grants and employment opportunities,
    • Educational opportunities such as curriculum development, tutorial programs and research projects.
  • Providing a forum for the discussion of legal problems relating to law affecting Native Americans, Polynesians, and other indigenous populations.
