student body
Two-thirds of our students come from outside the state of Utah from a wide variety of backgrounds and undergraduate programs. A large majority have lived or studied abroad; typically about 80 percent speak a second language fluently and have a deep appreciation for foreign cultures.

In addition, each year six to eight foreign-trained lawyers enter the Law School to pursue a one-year master's degree program (LLM) in comparative law. Because most LLM courses are drawn from the regular curriculum, this highly selective program enriches the educational experience of our other students.

Most important, our students form an integrated, thriving community that has often been described as "feeling like family."
