  • The Division of Community Corrections Victim Advocacy/Notification Program offers crime victims whose offenders are on supervised probation/parole/post release an opportunity to become involved and to participate in the Criminal Justice System. The Victim's Rights Enabling Legislation requires that victims receive certain notifications regarding offender status.

  • As a result of the 1983 Oregon legislature, (ORS 147.227) the Oregon Department of Justice, Crime Victims' Assistance Section (CVAS) was given authority to disburse up to one-half of the unitary assessment monies that the Criminal Injuries Compensation Account receives from the Criminal Fine and Assessment Account, to counties and cities where prosecuting attorneys maintain comprehensive victims' assistance programs approved by CVAS.

PENNSYLVANIA

Philadelphia Coalition for Victim Advocacy - http://www.pcvainfo.org/

  • We are a membership consortium of organizations and individuals that provide advocacy and assistance to victims, co-victims and witnesses to crime. PCVA member agencies provide direct service to crime victims. The settings for members range from Neighborhood Based Agencies to Schools to Criminal Justice environments. A variety of services are offered by PCVA members such as: assistance in filing for Crime Victim Compensation, crisis response, education, counseling and criminal justice/legal advocacy.
