Laptop Models

The following paragraphs list the basic configuration for each of the following laptops. The Law School has worked with the vendor of each of these laptops in order to provide optimal coverage at the lowest price possible to best accomodate the needs of the students. Included in the price of each of these configurations is a full three year world-wide, on-site warranty and coverage for accidental damage such as drops and spills. With this coverage your laptop will have full protection through your third year at the Law School. Though these laptops may be offered at lower prices from outside sources, options such as extended warranty and accidental damage coverage are generally not included without additional cost.

Each of the recommended laptops has a variety of optional accessories you may purchase to create the computing environment that best suits you. One of the options we strongly recommend is purchasing an external USB hard drive of equivalent size of the internal hard drive that you ordered with you laptop. Each of the vendors offer a USB external hard drive, however, you can purchase an external hard drive from other sources. The Lenovo laptops have backup software included with your purchase which will allow you to create full backups of your system in case of internal hard drive failure.
