WebDirect offers many services to the staff, faculty, and students of the J. Reuben Clark Law School, these include:

Adobe Acrobat (PDF) Files

PDF (Portable Document Format) is becoming the standard format for electronic documents online. We can convert any of your files to PDF format for publishing to Web, for personal archival needs, or for distribution to others via email. We can also modify PDF files once they have been created.

Scanning

WebDirect will scan most anything you would like on your web page. Some examples of things you may want to have scanned and put into a class page include:

• Short handouts
• Maps
• Pictures
• Articles
• Diagrams

For reserve books and articles that are large in nature, we suggest that you use the DigiPath service. To request a scan job, either email WebDirect, call us at 422-3884.

Search Engines

Ever get tired of trying to find something on a web page? By adding a search engine to your page, students and visitors can find what they are looking for in seconds.

Secure Access

Students have a generic password to access all of the online classes. If you wish to have specific passwords for your web pages so that only certain people can view them, please contact us.

Multimedia

In the Multimedia Section, you will see how you can have WebDirect create PowerPoint presentations of your class outlines or put the audio recording of your classes online using the free RealPlayer. Students can listen to your lectures, watch important videos, or review past lessons for upcoming exams from anywhere they have a connection to the Internet. Link Research

WebDirect will research and locate helpful Internet site links to put on your web page.

Online Database

Create online quizzes, directories, class information, and much more with web-based databases. Have your page update itself with information you want. If you want to see an example of an online database, go here.

Digipath

DigiPath is a service whereby you can have entire books, handouts, etc. scanned and put online for viewing by your students. It is the basically a virtual reserve library. Click here for an order form.
