REGIONAL DIALOGUE

Switzerland - August 23-25, 2004
The European Regional
Dialogue for the Doha International Conference for the Family will be held
August 23_25, 2004, in Geneva, Switzerland. This regional meeting will assist
the Doha International Conference for the Family in demonstrating that a
“family focus” is the surest guide to sustainable social health. The conference
process will bring together experts on the topics of:

The Family is the natural and fundamental
group unit of Society; Government Policy and Family Self_Reliance; Government Policy and the Family: Positives
and Negatives; Ageing and the Family
• Marriage
Social and Economic Benefits of Marriage;
Physical and Emotional Benefits of Marriage; Positive Effects of Marriages
on Women, Men, and Children; Positive
Effects of Marriage on National and International Social Development
• Human Dignity
Family and Human dignity; Family: Home to
valuing each other and see past "self"; Modern Population Trends and
the Family; The Dignity and Worth of
Human Life
• Parents and Children
Benefits of Parenthood to Men and Women
Motherhood and Fatherhood: Importance of Each to Children; Needs of Infants, Youth, Adolescents and Young
Adults; Negative Effects of Early Sexuality on Adolescents and Young Children
• Family Values

CONFERENCE
INFORMATION
LOCATION:
The conference will be held
at the International Conference Center (www.cicg.ch) near United Nations
Geneva.
PROGRAM:
Distinguished scholars from
Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay will present
papers on the above topics with a focus on the European Region and how these
issues can be applied worldwide. For a

REGISTRATION:
Registration will begin
Monday, August 23, 7:30 AM. The sessions Monday and Tuesday will start at 8:30
AM and go until 6:00 PM. Wednesday’s session will start at 8:30 AM and go until
2:30 PM. An open reception will follow Wednesday’s session.
Non_government organizations
(NGOs) and private citizens may pre_register for the conference at
http://www.worldfamilypolicy.org/wfpc/geneva.htm. Registration is $50.00 USD
per person. A display table may be reserved, one per each NGO. The fee for a
display table is $150.00 USD. We
encourage you to pre_register.
